Administration

The Administration Division is headed by the Chief Deputy - Administration who oversees all financial aspects of the District Attorney's Office in addition to managing both the personnel and clerical support units.

Administration functions include clerical support for case processing and secretarial support for prosecutions, fiscal services, personnel administration, information technology services which includes technical production of courtroom exhibits, facilities management, grants administration and statistical reporting.

Staffing

The office employs attorneys, investigators, paralegals, secretarial and clerical staff, information systems and administrative staff. In addition, the office is assisted by Santa Cruz County V.I.P. volunteers, volunteer law clerks and interns from local schools.

Community Support

In addition to working at the District Attorney's Office, many of our employees volunteer or assist with local community or national related events. The following are some of those events.

Relay for Life

Every year for the past five years, approximately 30 District Attorney staff members have participated in the the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. The office has raised thousands of dollars to help fund cancer research projects.

Adopt a Family

Each year during the holiday season the District Attorney's office "adopts" several families in need. DA staff donate food, clothing and toys to help families who need assistance.

Second Harvest Food Bank

Each year Santa Cruz County holds a food bank drive to benefit the second harvest food bank . DA staff donate the equivalent of thousands of dollars worth of food every year which goes to support the local community.
